The President, Rotary Club of Arepo Longbridge, Adebanke Alayaki, has advocated the planting of trees to check climate change in the country.

Alayaki said this when members of the club embarked on tree planting project at Obafemi Owode Community Secondary School, Magboro as well as the entrance of Arepo town, Ogun state.

“As trees grow, they help to check climate change by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere.
