Sky Bet Championship, Watford have turned down Trabzonspor’s offer for defender William Troost-Ekong.

Troost-Ekong has barely featured for the Hornets since returning from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations early this year. The centre-back was a second half substitute in Watford’s 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion on Monday. But despite his limited playing time, the London club, according to The Athletic, rejected a loan offer with an option to buy for £1.7m for the Nigeria international from Trabzonspor.Troost-Ekong has three years remaining on his contract with the club.
