Nigerian wrestler Odunayo Adekuoroye has lost her 57kg weight category fight in the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics.Adekuoroye lost to Anastasia Nichita of the Republic of Moldova on account of a fall. Adekuoroye was leading 8-2 on the scorecard before Nichita achieved the win via VFA .
While she lost out in the quarter-final, the Nigerian wrestler will hope that Nichita makes it to the final for her to compete for a bronze medal. The only male wrestler in Team Nigeria, Ekereke Agiomor, lost 12-1 to Indian Deepak Punia in the Men’s Freestyle 86kg category.
What Nigerians represent in this Tokyo Olympics is the true representation of Nigeria looks like winning at her independence but now we know what it is, keep up boys you're representing us well... What an irony
