Three die, two injured in Bauchi auto crash | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News

The Bauchi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp , Yusuf Abdullahi, who disclosed this on Wednesday, said that two people also sustained injuries in the crash.According to him, the crash involved a Toyota Hiace commercial bus, with registration number: GME-74 YX and a private vehicle, a Station Wagon Opel vectra with registration number: DSA-120 AA.“The incident happened opposite the Muslim burial ground junction, yesterday , at about 8.32 p.m.

“The victims were rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, where three of them were confirmed dead. Two others sustained injuries. “The driver of the bus was trapped and died as a result of the fire, while two passengers in the other vehicle died,” he disclosed.According to the FRSC boss, the vehicle was not affected by the fire, while the Toyota Hiace bus caught fire after the crash.

He said that the obstructions have been cleared as the vehicles were handed over to the Motor Transport Department of the Nigerian Police Force. Abdullahi urged motorists to avoid over-speeding, night travels and other practices that put their lives and that of other road users and their properties at risk.
