The Director General Media and Communications Adamawa State Government House, Solomon Kumangar, has described speculations of a rift between the state Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, as false.

Fintiri, had in a recent interview he granted BBC Radio, avoided answering a question which bothered on Atiku’s alleged interest in the 2023 Presidential contest. Kumangar explained that his principal was only being careful not to flout the law. He noted that the election management body was yet to give a go ahead for campaigns and it would amount to a breach for the governor act otherwise.

He said, “While this action has been widely accepted with great relief by lovers of democracy and the rank and file of the membership, we are concerned that political vulturism masquerading as ‘smart analysis’ is selling the commentary that this is a Fintiri-Atiku ‘rift’ nothing can be further from the truth.
