In a goodwill message to Nigerians, Mustapha said every Nigerian should be patriotic in his hopes and aspirations, remarking that it was by the grace of God that has kept us till now.
“If this country has no hope, God wouldn’t have, so God in His infinite mercies has kept us to celebrate this 62nd independence anniversary. Our prayer is that He may continue to guide our leaders with the wisdom to propel and lead us to the right destination,” he said. While agreeing that the country was not yet where it ought to be in terms of development and governance, he said, “At the same time, we must give kudos and credit to this present administration.
“At least, the budget schedule or timeframe has been managed properly now that we no longer have to wait two months into the new calendar year before the budget kicks off. That is a major shift or departure from the past. Mustapha, who is the Senatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress for Kwara Central, noted that Nigeria has gone through its worse times in history, pointing out that what remains was for the citizens to turn the challenges into stepping stone to greatness.
