The Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu, disclosed this in Abuja at the official presentation/unveiling of the 2020 Annual Flood Outlook and new Flood Mobile App.
Adamu said, “Overall, the flood level may not be as severe as previous years. But it is near certainty that our rivers will exceed the flood level and many areas would be inundated again this year.” “While parts of 275 LGAs in the 36 states of the federation, including Federal Capital Territory, fall within the moderate probable flood risk areas,” the minister stated.
There has always been flood in Nigeria. This Government alone is a heavy flood.
There are other kinds of 'flood' already with us apart from that which is anticipated later in the year
Those who have ears, let them hear. Besides in respectable climes, the authorities learn from experience & get armed long before disasters. But in this my part of the world, both the victims & authorities play he blame game, at the advent of wahala. Can God not hold the disaster?
