There was pandemonium in the Ota Efun area of Osogbo, Osun State on Friday following the alleged killing of a rig operator, Kabir Bapai, by a policeman.
According to an eyewitness, the deceased and the injured driver, working with a construction company, Shekeenah Zelter Global Concept, Osogbo, were said toAn eyewitness, who preferred anonymity, while speaking to our correspondent on the incident, said the two men were repairing their faulty truck, when three policemen travelling in a commercial mini bus, said to be chasing a suspect, arrived at the scene and demanded explanation from the men why their truck was at that point of the road.
“He immediately left what he was doing and rushed to the scene. The same policeman fired another shot which hit Bapai in the chest. He died on the spot,” the eyewitness added.
