Local government council chairmen and traditional rulers from six out of the 16 local government councils of Taraba State have reiterated their

Stressing how the projects, which are being executed through Oxfam and Development Exchange Centre , have been addressing the stigma of poverty associated with their communities, they vowed to work tirelessly round the clock to sustain the project.

The councils, which are Ardo-Kola Donga, Takum, Wukari, Kurmi and Zing, were said to have been benefiting from the EU support to food security and resilience in the state, the exercise the chairmen and the traditional rulers admitted have been taking out their subjects from the dungeon of poverty. Aligning their weights to that of their council’s chairmen, the royal fathers, said “we have collectively agreed that the project must not fail” adding that “we cannot be relying on government alone.”
