Sunday Igboho: Afenifere's comment on Prophet Muhammed disgusting, provocative - Shehu Sani

Afenifere, had in a statement on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Jare Ajayi, said “We recall that Moses had to be taken away from the prying eyes of Pharaoh and his agents in Egypt. Prophet Muhammed too had to leave his hometown, Mecca for Medina in order to escape persecution.

The statement has attracted backlash from the Muslim faithful as many described the comparison as insulting. He said, “The reported statement by Afenifere stands unreservedly condemned.Their comparison is wrong, unconscionable, provocative and disgusting. It must be withdrawn immediately.

One of reasons I am leaning away from been a Muslim

This is a great testament to the fact that no matter how educated-civilised they seems to look, they can NEVER purge themselves of religious fanaticism. ShehuSani What did Afenifere say that is not recorded in my Holy Bible or your Holy Quran?
