Senate wants mandatory health insurance for all Nigerians

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Heath, Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe, stated this in Abuja at a public hearing on ‘A bill for an Act to repeal the National Health Insurance Scheme Act 2004 and to enact the National Health Insurance Commission Bill’.Oloriegbe said health insurance must be made mandatory and premium payments be subsidized for the poor.

If we are determine to do it we can do it. But before then, we need a standard hospital that almost 90% of our sickness can be treated in each state and if possible each local gov.
