Hmmmm, I believe it will be much more dangerous than thought. Is the senate thinking only about the pros. This is a way for the landlords to hike their monthly rent since it’s not going to be bulk annual payment. Does the government think it’s only salary earners that rent houses They should leave such bill for individual state assembly to legislate on.

Ok, God help you all Stupid talk....is that Nigerians problem? The Senate should consider bills like Stop slave labour in the country by these Chinese firms. Miss place priority, nobody in the senate is talk about a bill to bar dangote from indiscriminately increasing the price of cement in nigeria. Don't forget Just as dangote is private company so is the house 🏠

Agents left the group chat 🤣 I strongly believe that the annual rent collectis is very fine. It works better for a country like ours. nassnigeria focus on more important matters that inflicts burden on the masses. Una hear Why not look into your pay cheque and see how u guys can reduce it..😡 Nice one, my honourable senator.

YINMU... busy doing nothing set of people. Only a failure government comes up with irrelevant bills. For now, MyLandlord MyGovernment. Senate should consider more serious bills to deliberate on such as continuous casual status of employees in organisations especially in oil companies and banks. Annual rent, in my opinion, is better for the tenants.

Minimum wage una never force government to pay it... Na rent. Stop high rate of building materials so people can afford to build their own house... Lol...bar us from d Bar na mk we 4 know🤣🤣🤣 If una papa help me built the house una go tell me You can't ask landlord not to collect annual rent ,but what they need to look into is the Agent and agreement fees. Countries that collect monthly rents have the banks/government fund mortgage with single digit mortgage loan. Is it government's job to legislate how people charge for their property/service?! While they're at it, why not how we should pay for cement, salt, rice, shoe, pepper? Story They should be collecting daily instead..nonsense bill

Senate to 'expedite action' on Electoral Bill - LawanPresident Muhammadu Buhari rejected the bill in December because of the inclusion of the direct mode of primaries by political parties in the bill.

Una no go do to copy infrastructure development bills and imprisonment for corruption billl. No go use another man basket measure your rice. Can't senate have sense to know when our system is better Copy copy, go copy person signature for your statement. This kind of law is only sensible in places with furnished houses not Nigeria situation. Na Lekki & Abuja bill b that

How many houses have they built for tenants? Good bill, good intentions, but Na dem dem go still drop the bill last last. How can they fight against their own interests. They are the majority of Landlords. Why waste time on such bills? Only States can do this and even in Lagos it reduced it from 2 to a year but monthly rent would be hard to implement if our court's are not reformulated

Talk is cheap.Feed us more. These Senators should take their madness to regulate building materials price not when a Landlord spend so much on building materials to raise a building they will open their garbage to talk about rent, Useless people everywhere. Free MAZINNAMDIKANU They should deliberate what concern this nation. U can't impose on a landlord, they should build houses and impose on them. When the landlord was building is house did d govt give them money?

You only see what is wrong with landlords but fail to see what is wrong with the senate. The senate should be bar from collecting allowances and depend only on their basic salary which is even too much and their salary should be review for reduction. We're waiting, good move

Its a good one.. this is what is obtainable in civilized countries. How can you compel a tenant to pay two years rent. Are their wages/salaries paid in that manner? Monthly payment is ok, paying upfront should be at the discretion of the tenant. 😂😂😂😂😂…. When you lack vision you deliberate on nonsense. (Funny people)

When will the Senate begin to consider bills that will, 1. Unite Nigerians, 2. Industrialize Nigeria 3. Sentence corrupt politicians and civil servants to life imprisonment. I'm hoping this will go through. They should also put a cap on the amount of money to be paid for particular houses.
