The Federal Government has insisted on the N100bn Zonal Intervention Projects for the 469 senatorial districts and federal constituencies across the country.

This is contained in the 2020 revised federal budget which has been forwarded to the National Assembly for approval.Following the drop in the price of crude oil and a fall in the projected government revenue, it was learnt that the Federal Government decided to reduce the budget by N318bn.

“It is on record that in the past 10 years, N1 trillion has been appropriated for constituency projects, yet the impact of such huge spending on the lives and welfare of ordinary Nigerians can hardly be seen.”, however, reports that although the fund is tied to projects of lawmakers, they are often implemented by Federal Government agencies.

Both Buhari and Osinbajo cut down their original travel budgets by 0.684 per cent each, according to the document.About N2.8bn was also budgeted for the overhead cost and travel cost of the Presidential fleet.reports that Buhari has been known to travel frequently as he spent 404 days abroad between May 29, 2015 and April 20, 2019.

The Director-General, Budget Office, Ben Akabueze, said the funds were tied to statutory transfers which were dependent on the Consolidated Revenue Fund.

All Na scam they don’t do any constituency projects

This shows is just the face of those in the 8th senate presidency don't want to see not that they are fighting for Nigerians. Because I can remember Mr president once said he did not know what they are doing there and he often condenm the way they allocate money for themselves...

On top the loans

This man (Buhari) is always signing for Millions, Billions and Trillions, that he can never give account of why? Where's all this money going to? Can somebody tell me? Because Mr Buhari never speaks...!!!

That's meant for the sustenance of the rubber stamp status of the 9th NASS. What a clever one from our incorruptible one

Are these ones accountant or govt officials. They believe hobt work is just to be sharing and distributing money any how

Emergency sales! Mazda Tribute 2010. Foreign used. 4 plug. AC like cold room. Very Sharp. In pristine condition. Going for 1.6M. Location for inspection is Ibadan. Current market value is 2M+. But this is going for N1.6M. Take ur opportunity. Pls retweet

We expect Mr President to purge this constituency project fund if really he is a man of anti-corruption, for, ever since such fund has been giving to the so-called REP's it has never yield any profit to any constituency.

Some people wont read the article before saying nonsense. Some people lack simple comprehension

The tough General without action.

The national assembly should always engage consultants to go round and a certain the quality of work done and hold MDA responsible. I support the bill proposing to move all constituency projects into a single MDA. It will be much better. They should expedite action on that bill

Confused Man Called President

Any career public servant who does not play the game is sidelined and bullied by superiors and those in charge of the MDA. Year after year billions are thrown away or to better put it are stolen from the constituency projects either poorly executed or not executed but paid for.

Reason 4d failure of most constituency projects resulting in waste is bcos of corruption within our public institutions. Career public servants deliberately prevnt d supervision of these projects& help contractors shortchange government. Payments are made irrespective of results

This man can do anything for nass just to continue borrowing until Nigeria will be completely taken over by d Chinese.

It's well

It's not about renovation again That one don knock It's now what's allocated Punch look for meaningful reporting

This is ajaokuta steel company not working Electricity not steady Etc In a country were thousands of graduates are on the street , Working country cut down such expenses Butnoonewillprotestthis

Senior thief doing what he knows how to do best. This i compensation to the nassnigeria members for approving all of MBuhari loans. When such monies should be scraped and taken to other sectors such as to pay teachers in public schools and possibly assist those in private schls

Constituency projects that we wouldn't see. It is high time Federal governments started asking questions like how the money would be spent. Then follow up

Nothing good can come out of Nigeria government, other countries are improving their economy, Nigeria is busy borrowing billions of dollars not Naira oo from other countries, “Buhari a Bitter Cola”.

Before any idiot jump on these in your usual hypocrisy and foolishness, know that the law permits Buhari to release the money. Lay an ambush instead for your local lawmaker. Make sure every kobo of it is spent in your constituency for the project tied to it.

This Nigerian leaders should hide their face in shame, self-centered egoistic pricks ..

Judicial use of the fund has always been the problem. SayNoToCorruption
