Residents of Sabon Birnin, an agrarian community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State have lamented over increased attack on their community by bandits.said many people have been killed with several others kidnapped either from their homes or in their farms in the past one week.

They also expressed fear that if nothing is done to stop the attacks, they might not be able to go to their farms during this year’s farming season.The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan in his response to the pleas of people for adequate security facilitated a meeting between security agencies and the residents of the community.

The Commissioner said the meeting will deepen interactions and share intelligence information on how best to tackle the security challenges in the area. According to him, he is confident that regular engagements between security agencies and the people will boost the fight against banditry and other related crimes in the state.

He, however, sought the cooperation of the locals in order to find a way forward on ending the attacks.
