The House of Representatives’ Ad Hoc Committee on the State of Refineries in Nigeria has said it is compulsory for the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari, to appear before it on Tuesday .

Non-appearance by the stakeholders for the second time had botched the investigative hearing of the committee scheduled for March 31, 2022, forcing the panel to summon the officials three weeks after. The GMD’s letter, which was dated April 22, 2022, and addressed to the Chairman, was titled ‘Re: Rescheduled Interactive Session on the State of Refineries in the Country.’

Aviation Shutdown: Reps cancel emergency session, leadership to meet airline operators againThe House had scheduled an emergency session for Monday to discuss critical issues. Apparently nothing is working in this country It's quite unfortunate that the Reps won't do the same with ASUU. They know if aviation are on strike, they won't be able to fly out. Because it affects them mostly but the law makers never find it reasonable to do the same about ASUU strike for sake of our children.
