DAILY POST learnt that the affected communities, over the weekend, were greeted with heavy rainstorm, which pulled down many electricity poles.
Since Saturday, residents of the affected areas have been battling with power outage, which they fear may not end anytime soon. “Life without power supply has been very tough. We don’t know when this will end. We can’t even charge our phones, let alone pump water. It is is affecting everybody, including artisans. We want the IBEDC to wade into the matter and get it rectified immediately.
The IBEDC in a statement on Monday said its technical team was working to ensure power supply was restored in the over 30 affected communities.
