The Kano State Government on Friday said the National Identification Number would be compulsory for students of public secondary schools in the state.

The Commissioner for Education, Sanusi Saidu-Kiru, gave the directive in a statement issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of the education ministry, Aliyu Yusuf. Saidu-Kiru said the staff of the NIMC would soon begin the NIN registration across the schools in the state and warned that pupils would not be registered for examinations without obtaining their NIN.

He said the process would enable the education ministry to have an updated database of all pupils for the purpose of record keeping and further planning and eradicate examination malpractice in the state’s education system. He also asked the Kano State Senior Schools Management Board, zonal directors and principals to ensure strict adherence to the directive. The statement read in part, “Forms will be distributed to all secondary schools for the pupils from JSS 1 to SS2 to provide their personal details, which will also be used by the National Identity Management Commission. All rights reserved.

Oponu

D*mb ass governor 🤦🏾‍♂️😤

These guys are unrelentlessly pushing their fulamization agenda.

I believe what Nigeria really needs as it is now .....is for NIN to be linked to Voters cards.

NIN for students to register for exams. But NIN not compulsory for election & voting?. Nigeria is a lost course. Until the people rise up against these leaders this country will not develop.

This people don't have common sense o, ask this man how many of his people are in school. Excuse me, how come we give this fulani the chance to control us like their cows?

Have you registered for the NIM?

Idiot

Election permutation has started, your governors are watching. Let them also run their race with what is required to win elections. Elections doesn't understand English, it knows votes, & with anti rigging pillars you can be hopeful of victory.

Whats the essence of the exams. Dumb Nigeria.

Exam wey dem go still fail

Danjudollars

ovieroskoles What is the essence of the NIN?.

Huh?

😀😀😂😂

Ifb jare So network dey. For nin but not for e transmission of election results?

Before you know it, we may need NIN to sit at our dinning tables.

I thought NIN was for people that are 13 years and above?

Educational disadvantaged yet discouraging it further. Useless government

What's all this with our leaders, i guess there is a hidden agenda with this NIN we done see to know yet

Another terrorist talking.. U can see the 2023 plans to ring election.. They will do all to stay in power but power belong to Almighty God..

There has to be something with this NIN.

Keep going

Another day in The Lugard Contraption

TRRH'TRUTH-TELLING REPARATIONS RECONCILIATION AND HEALING for those and other past injustices need to be addressed nationally, regionally and internationally for peace amongst all It's a day I won't forget either. I was in PH and could not understand why the killing of the Policemen by some men could be visited on the people of Odi. It's a big shame on the government of OBJ at that time. Same here!
