Police issues warning to non-travelers as flights resumes in Abuja, Lagos, others

In preparation for the opening of airports in the country, the Airport Police Command, Ikeja, has warned non-travelers to stay away from the airport.

DSP Joseph Alabi, the spokesperson for the Command, gave the warning in a statement issued on Thursday in Lagos.“The command has put machinery in place to deal with anyone caught or cannot explain his mission within the airport environment,” he said.According to him, plainclothes personnel have been empowered to arrest and deal with anyone caught touting within the airport vicinity.

He said travelers should also adhere strictly to all rules in relation to distance spacing, using face masks and hand sanitizers provided at the arrival and departure halls of the airports.
