The Osun State Police Command on Wednesday dragged a 50-year-old man, Aina Taiwo before a Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for alleged attempt to rape a school teacher.The prosecutor, Mr Abiodun Fagboyinbo said the defendant committed the offence on 27 June 2020 at about 10:55 AM at Agunbelewo Area, Osogbo.
He said, “Taiwo attempted to commit rape and unlawfully assaulted Mark Kehinde F’ by giving her blow on her mouth to the extent she sustained an injury on her mouth and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 359 and 360 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Vol. II Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2002.”The Magistrate, Mr Opeyemi Badmus, gave a privileged to the complainant to answer some questions surrounding alleged offence.
