The Nigerian police Friday said it has begun searching for the whereabouts of the 317 Jangebe schools kidnapped from their school.

The girls were kidnapped in the early hours of Friday from Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Jangebe in Zamfara State. The Zamfara Police Commissioner Abutu Yaro said a joint search and rescue operation is already underway with a view to rescuing them.
