The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone one command, comprising Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states, Sadiq A. Bello has emphasised the need for stronger synergy between security agencies and the community leaders to be able to surmount the intractable security concerns in the zone.
He argued that the criminals are not ghosts; neither are they aliens from another planet but human beings whose threats could be addressed through robust collaboration with the people among whom they live. He urged the personnel to be professional in their duty and respect the rights of citizens whom they swore to protect.
