The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, has warned hoteliers against violation of COVID-19 protocols.

Odumosu, in a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, vowed to close down any hotel caught violating the guidelines during a meeting with hotel owners.

“The police boss pointed out that the command has recorded cases of drowning, sudden and unnatural death in some hotels as a result of negligence on the part of the hotel owners and managers. The CP condemned this and admonished them to do the needful in providing adequate security for the lives and property of Lagosians.

“The Hoteliers were led to the meeting by the President of the Lagos Hoteliers Association, Adekunle Akilo. The association appreciated the meeting and promised unequivocally to adjust, respect the laws of the state and assist in having effective policing in the state,” the statement partly reads.All rights reserved.
