cloth vendor, Adeshina Olayinka, popularly called Khadi, who died mysteriously at Wetland Hotel, Akobo, in Ibadan, oyo State recently is currently in police custody.reported that Olayinka was found dead after the man she was with checked out early on Thursday morning.
Our correspondent gathered that the suspect is currently in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan. An investigation by our correspondent further revealed that the suspect, names withheld, voluntarily presented himself to the police at Akobo Police Division having heard that his attention was needed by the police over Olayinka’s death.
When our correspondent visited the hotel on Monday, the manager and supervisor were said not to be available. But a staff member who did not want his name in print because he is not the hotel’s spokesman, in an interview withsaid, “We wouldn’t have known until 12noon check out time if not for the power bank she borrowed from one of the receptionists. When we discovered that she was still breathing, we quickly called policemen at Akobo Police Station but unfortunately, she died before getting to the hospital.
