PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan congratulated the party over the Supreme Court ruling.
The apex court also declared the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate winner of the last governorship election in the state. Supreme Court led by Justice Mary Peter-Odili directed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Lyon. Justice Peter-Odili ordered INEC to immediately issue fresh certificates of Return to the candidates of the party with the next highest votes which is the PDP.
