Declaring the result, the Returning Officer, Dr Ibrahim DanMaraya from Kaduna State University, said Honourable Ibrahim Gajere polled 14,432 to floor the immediate past chairman and candidate of the APC, Honourable Cafra AB Caino who trailed behind with 9,095 votes.
If this was an election for Local Government Chair, then it would be the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission that rescheduled and conducted the election. By wrongly reporting that it was inecnigeria, Punch is downplaying what makes this election remarkable.
