The Paralympic Committee Nigeria (PCN) has commended BINA Foundation for the successful conduct of the First Blind Powerlifting and Bench Press Trials in Nigeria.

Deputy Secretary of PCN, Dr. Sunday Odion, gave the commendation at the end of the three-day trials held at the National Stadium, Lagos from January 11 to 13, 2022.

President and founder of BINA Foundation, Lady Ifeoma Atuegwu, has expressed her satisfaction with the outcome of the trials where lifters that would represent Nigeria at the First IBSA Powerlifting/Bench Press World Cup and Second Africa Continental Poweifting/Bench Press Championship slated for Alexandria, Egypt in March 2022, were identified.

Disclosing that those that excelled at the trials would be unveiled when the technical committee completes its job, Atuegwu, represented by the president of Nigeria Para-Athletics Federation, Dr. Amobi Chikwendu, a Director in BINA, thanked contributors to the success of the event, especially, the programme coordinator, Silver Ezeikpe Chinedu.
