A 20-year-old fashion designer, Ayomide Taiwo, who was attacked by a policeman, Inspector Ago Egharepbe, attached to the Ibokun divisional headquarters, Osun State, is dead.

Taiwo had been in a coma since Tuesday, following the attack by Egharepbe, who was said to have requested a bribe from him.His uncle, Segun Agboola, who broke the news to our correspondent, said Taiwo was survived by his mother, aged grandmother and two siblings.

Oladimeji, who travelled with the victim on the same motorcycle, said the policemen after stopping their motorcycle, demanded money. The victim was rushed to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, where he was admitted.Reacting to the development, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said the erring policeman had been dismissed.
