Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has described the Hyundai Kona Electric Car assembled in Nigeria as a fantastic machine, after a test drive.
“A very good drive; fantastic; it just shows what is possible,” he said, adding, “I am glad to see that this is an assembled-in-Nigeria Electric Car. Assembled in Stallion Group’s VON Assembly plant at Ojo, Lagos and launched into the Nigerian market late 2020, Nigeria’s first ever Electric car has since attracted kudos from various government functionaries, including the National Assembly.
Kona is so smart that it is capable of sensing road markings, using Lane Keeping Assist , which helps to prevent accidental lane departure and may automatically steer the car if required. Although it already offered an impressive range of customisation options for this segment – from three seating configurations in the rear and a range of equipment packages through to AMG-specific individual options – further attractive choices have now been added.
The new AMG Night Package II provides for an even more sportily accentuated appearance if so desired. The vertical slats in the AMG-specific radiator grille are crafted here in dark chrome. At the rear, the AMG logo, Mercedes star and model designation in black add striking accents. The same applies to the lettering on the front wings. Also new is the combination of Night Package and Carbon Fibre Package.
