A suspected traffic robber was at the weekend killed and two others arrested during gun battles with the police, the State Command said on Sunday.

While the name of the dead suspect was not mentioned, a statement by spokesman Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superintendent of Police identified the others as Adigun Ganiyu, 26, and Justice Igboanusi, 29.

He said the gang had engaged the police team in gun duel and in the process; the unnamed suspect was fatally wounded . Igboanusi, a resident of 11, Jinadu Street, Ajangbadi, the police said, was arrested on Saturday night around Church Bus Stop, Ilemba Hausa in a similar circumstance.
