The Public Education Officer of FRSC in the state, Mr Andrew Bala told our correspondent in Jos on Friday that the accident which involved a Sharon Volkswagen with plate number-XA 62 BLD happened around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday and that it was caused by speed violation.Bala said, “On Thursday 16th May 2019, an accident involving a car with nine passengers occurred at Makera, Hawan Kibo Jos road around 5:40 p.m. Our men responded immediately.
The Public Education Officer appealed to motorists to always apply caution while plying the Hawan Kibo-Jos road describing it as “accident prone” due to the snake-like nature of the road He also cautioned the motorists to always check their vehicles to ensure they were in order before hitting the road especially now that the rainy season had set in
