Ondo begins collection of consumption tax - Punch Newspapers

The Ondo State Government said it had begun the collection of consumption tax from the residents of the state in a bid to boost the Internally Generated Revenue of the state

The Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Tolu Adegbie, stated this while speaking with our correspondent in Akure, the state capital.

You all need to make your states habitable, welcoming to businesses and residents.

For successful tax regime in the localities, power must be devolved. We need those local activities to generate employment & subsequent taxation. Resource Control is needed, FG must be retired from an illegal resource owner to a tax taker.

PDP_2023 “But if the VAT case is won in court in favour of the state, what happens? It means that we will be collecting VAT,” he stressed. The smartness of this man is top notch. While VAT Matter is in court the collection of VAT will be suspended while the consumption tax takes over.

Let Ondo use the money collected to make sure all public prymary and secondary schools are equipped with an internet enabled computer labs....with the consumption tax collected....
