The Peoples Democratic Party , Ondo state chapter has criticised Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for allegedly using the southwest security outfit “Amotekun” to scuttle the primaries of the ruling APC for local government election in Owo.
However, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media and Publicity, Ojo Oyewamide sympathized with PDP in the state for playing lazy opposition, as Amotekun is yet to take off, let a lone of using in the APC Primaries. He pointed the attention of the public, especially members of the APC in the State to the mischief being plotted by the opposition PDP in the aftermath of the recent local government primaries of the APC.“In the plot which is considered in most strong terms, highly pedestrian and juveline, the PDP is drawing the perception that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu was deeply involved in the primary exercises across the State, and most especially in Owo local government.
“This is most unfortunate and paints in clear terms the PDP in the most unserious and intellectually immobile manner as a political party.
