Ogun State has won Best Teacher, in the Private Senior Secondary School category of this year’s World Teachers’ Day (WTD)/President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award (PTSEA).

Mr. Ogunleye Oluwasanjo Samuel, a teacher with Emerald International College, Mowe, Ogun State, emerged best Private Secondary School Teacher of the year.

In a statement, the Zonal Education Officer, Obafemi-Owode, Akeem Bisiriyu, described Samuel as an exceptional teacher with very rare sense of humility. He said: “Many may see him as a utility officer because of his doggedness and unequal commitment to duties, but he is more than that. He is a versatile technical drawing teacher with proven integrity, an interesting tutor and a loco parentis to all his learners. Sincerely, God is truly a rewarder of diligent people,” he said.In this article
