The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed former Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service Commission, Amope Chokor, as the new Head of Service in the State.

Chokor’s appointment came following the retirement of the former Head of Service, Lanre Bisiriyu, after 35 years of service.

A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, stated that Bisiriyu, alongside 11 Permanent Secretaries have bowed out of the public service of the State. The statement read, “Amope Ajibola Chokor comes into her new position with impeccable pedigree and service record. “An accomplished town planner and administrator, Chokor hails from Imapa quarters at Ota, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State.“The Ogun State Government, under Governor Abiodun knows that TPL Chokor, who has proven over the years to understand the system, would put to use her vast knowledge in the management of the State Civil Service and also maintain the high standard that the service is known for.
