Nurses who were employed last year into University of Medical Sciences Ondo State experienced a huge pay cut in their February salary. The nurses who had at least four months unpaid salary arrears got a month salary on 23rd March 2020. The salary was for the month of February as this was it narration.

Another source made it known that the single qualified nurses had a pay cut because the management felt they were wrongly placed during the employment. However, the reason behind the pay cut has not yet been disclosed to all the nurses by the management. It was reported that the newly employed nurses are suffering due to their unpaid salaries and work overload as a result of shortage of staff.

The nursing association in the hospital is said to be working on various issues surrounding the nursing practices and welfarism in the hospital but it was given that the nursing head of the institution has made the maltreatment of the nurses under her watch to persist. With the information, the nursing head will be contacted to inform the entire nursing populace of the occurrences in the hospital under her watch and her interventions so far. Note: Reported by Olabanji Joel.

This is very unfair. This is the best time for all nurses in Nigeria to work together and ask for their due right. If the government and other hospital administration do not take them serious.

Still appealing for your intervention to prevail on police pensions to pay the police retirees that rtd since Aug 2018 without benefits. The pol pensi staffs have logged the money those that signed their consent since Jan 2020 into private acct instead of the rightful owner.

RotimiAkeredolu This is corruption of the highest order...

You see how bad our leaders are. No value for life.

RotimiAkeredolu If this is in true occurrence then we all have failed by slowing an incompetent government to steal/take from the poor. The salaries that’s not even enough in the hardship of the same economy hosted by the government we all have allowed.

RotimiAkeredolu Misplaced priorities... At a time like this?... Oh my country!!!. I can't b risking my life like that for people who don't appreciate what I do for them.

At this time. Its unfair. These nurses and all health wokers are the ones at the front line of this outbreak. Encourage them.

Wow If the health workers come into contact with Covid-19 patients, they'll be infected & may die. If they die, they won't receive salaries. If the govt will not give them protection equipment, they should stay away from work, even if they'll lose their jobs. It's worse losing life.
