Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the State Commandant of the Corps, Nurudeen Abdullahi, said the NSCDC Commandant General came up with the idea of the Special Female Squad to intervene in some security challenges facing the country.

“In our efforts to form the Squad, we had a big challenge because the female officers hid and we had to start with only eight officers. Later, they began to join and today, we are passing out 35 female officers. According to the commandant, “you have been chosen and trained for a special task to ensure we have a crime-free state.

In her speech on the occasion, the wife of the state governor, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, who was the special guest of honour, commended the NSCDC for the initiative, which she said had given women an opportunity to contribute to national security. “Therefore, the Special Female Squad personnel were trained to be deployed in various schools in Bauchi State and other strategic places as being enjoyed in FCT, Adamawa, Plateau, among other states, in order to curtail the excesses of the ugly situation.
