NPA Terminates Intels Pilotage Contract over Failure to Remit $145.84m - THISDAYLIVE via thisdaylive

After about two years of bickering, the Nigerian Ports Authority has terminated its boats pilotage monitoring and supervision agreement with Intels Nigeria Limited. Intels is a leading integrated logistics and facilities services provider in the maritime and oil and gas logistics sectors of the economy.

“The NPA hereby serves on you Intels Nigeria Limited, notice of termination in line with article 8 of its agreement with Intels, dated 11th February, 2011, which said notice shall expire three months from the date of this notice of termination.” He stated that Intels neither remitted the sum of $55.72 million, which it pledged to remit in a letter dated February 12, 2019, nor the sum of $145.84 million, which it demanded via various letters.

“That the unreconciled amount of $145. 84 million included revenue expected from both clients under Intels agency and other agents.” “That the jointly reconciled report for the period of April 1 to July 31, 2018 has been submitted to Intels for signature. That this has not been signed till date. And the outstanding revenue for the period is $49.008 million, which ought to have been transferred to TSA by Intels.”

THISDAY exclusively gathered that it was on this ground that NPA decided to cancel the authority’s agreement with Intels Nigeria Limited.

I love Nigerians. U just heard ur neighbour's house is on fire n pretends it's none of ur biz, contino. As good as it may seem this a clear case of the voice of Jacob and the hand of Esau. Let's not 4get Atiku was in APC. The first timer someone declared winner is very agitated..

This is a step that should be replicated to all biz Enterprise to increase our IGR and to avoid being view as political move against Atiku

Anyone who neglects that part that says Jaguda Atiku refused to remit $146million and focuses on something else is an animal that Adam and Eve refused to give name in the garden of Eden😂😂😂😂

God thank you for this feat by the FG. Another feat by the grace of God we will celebrate again, is to fail at the tribunal, appeal and the supreme court.

Good news for the country and the economy. NPA retrieve our money.

Nigeria dodged a serious bullet.... A presidential candidate that refused to remit over 40 billion Naira to government account. If he is doing this as an ordinary citizen, Just imagine what he would do if he was elected. God really loves us.

Stimulating they have finally come after you, hope this ends well.

,k.l

Intel's should not be doing this in the first place when we have NPA. This is the corruption we talk about. Intel's charge like mad and pay almost nothing to Nigeria. PDP arrangements to steal our monies. No competition with Intel's in that area too, monopolise everything

Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring.

Now atiku will fight FG with all he's got

It should have been done a longtime ago

Excellent 👍🏾

Atiku ticket don cut 😂

AHayatu Atikuloot go feel the heat of this termination.

More unreasonable decision taken by the incompetent government.

Brimstone and fire have begun to fall in Nigeria o

Good, lets see how atiku can sponsor anymore mischiefs!

mareeyama election is not yet over apparently.

Where is officialEFCC it are am I to remind you of what to do ? Take actions now

Not suprised at all

ATiKU is Cumming.

Very interesting development.

And the matter ought to be handed over to SPIP for action
