November 30, 2022On November, 30, 2021, Oromoni was allegedly tortured to death by some senior students who reportedly wanted to initiate him into a cult group.
The death of Oromoni, which generated condemnation and series of protests by civil society groups and women across the country as well as heated controversies, was yet to yield any positive results one year after following the dilly-dally and alleged delay tactics by some officials of the Lagos State Government.
A pathologist, Sokunle Soyemi, led in evidence by Jide Martins, the Director of the Lagos state Directorate of Public Prosecution , had while testifying for Lagos state government at an inquest set up to unravel the cause of the student’s death, said that the first autopsy conducted in Warri, Delta state on the late Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, a 12-year-old student of Dowen College, was not properly done.
Signed by the deceased father, Sylvester Oromoni and obtained by SaharaReporters, the family threatened that if the Inquest was not concluded before the end of 2022, they shall be compelled to withdraw from it in order to take a different legal step to seek justice. "As a result of that, the inquest was further adjourned to 28th November, 2022. Unfortunately, the coroner could not also sit on this date because of the unavailability of these vital witnesses from Dowen College. At this juncture, let it be known that the coroner inquest of the Ikoyi building collapse of 2021 where 52 persons died did not take this protracted time as well the Ojota Yoruba rally where one Miss Jumoke Oyeleke died had since been concluded their Inquest.
Really sad, feel 4 the family, those students whom took path in the killing of the young lad will never go unpunished now and in the after life, their parents shielding them too, will face same like their parents, till t end of time!!!

Injustice is the recipe of Anarchy in any country.Nigeria is indeed sitting on a time bomb.
There’s no law in Nigeria wake up people!!!
That is why I like the traditional way of justice. As long as corruption flows justice will be denied. Deliberately Killing someone's child while your own goes Scot free won't be possible. It will serve as a lesson to others.
JusiceForSylvester
They should call me to help them get justice, because that's what I do for living. I love case, but genuine case.
Nigeria is a sád nation
The parents of this boy should burry him. I doubt if he will get justice.
Sylvester Oromoni Mustgetjustice ✊🏿
Its a pity people actually don't know what ended the case. But I can bet u, this issue ve been settled on a low within d school management, parent and d government.
What should they do? Lets be plain, that boy shouldn’t be in a boarding school at his age. Okay why were the parents in so much rush to send him away from home! Personally I don’t think anything can be done because I don’t know the outcome of the investigation.
But why are they trying to cover up this case 😏 who are they trying so hard to protect
What money cannot do doesn’t not exist.
This is the crazy trend we all have to deal with days in DayZ out and year in year out. People jus feel they can do anything and get away with it. Am sure that school has already moved on. May God punish them all and pray they meet their own for front
But they can fly someone from Jigawa to Aso villa to be beaten mercilessly 💔

Does anyone ever gets Justice in this Country?
Failed system.
