The Federal Government of Nigeria has given the police powers to prosecute passengers with forged COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction results.

DAILY POST gathered that the amended protocol, signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, became effective September 14, 2021.The government took the decision after discovering some passengers either claim to be diplomats or ignore testing before trips. Also, travellers found to have filled false information on the travel portal and online health declaration form would be liable to prosecution.

Similarly, those who fail to comply with directives of Port-Health staff, security agencies, or evade quarantine will face the law.Non-Nigerian passport holders and non-residents who visited Brazil, Turkey or South Africa within 14 days before their travel to Nigeria would be denied entry. However, travellers who only transited through the countries are exempted.

Six states oppose FG’s compulsory COVID-19 vaccination planAmid Federal Government’s concern over many Nigerians’ reluctance to take the Covid-19 vaccine and its plan to impose sanctions on those who refuse the vaccine when it is made available to all. The states, including Enugu, Taraba, Cross River, Ogun, Bauchi and Abia, said they would keep appealing to their residents to take the vaccine instead of adopting strict measures to compel them. When countries dey talk, Naija sef dey talk. A country that doesn’t know how many citizens it has wants to enforce mandatory vaccinations. Abeg let’s hear word! Kudos to the State Governments for their current stance on mandatory Covid-19 vaccination plan for Nigerians by the careless FG. Unlike the super useless State Governor that's forcing public workers and other people to take the jab by fire, by thunder. Medical terrorism is evil.
