Nigerian govt denies deploying 5G network

Amidst a growing global concern on its safety, the Nigerian government on Saturday denied it had approved the deployment of the fifth generation mobile network in the country.

A conspiracy theory caught social media frenzy this week and has been linked to at least two suspected arson attacks in the United Kingdom. The attention of my office has been drawn to the public concern about the health implications of the deployment of Fifth Generation Mobile Networks in Nigeria.Based on available records at my office and the earlier report received from the regulator, I would like to clarify as follows:

If this is not correct, why has NCC kept mute to this letter from MTN.

They better not with all the negative stories about 5G on social media. However, no one is sure of the facts submitted on this matter. Therefore, the FG should be mindful of what they embrace and look before they leap.

I read in a report where the NCC stated that never issued any licence for such. So no way denying something that was never in existence.
