Nigerian Army removes commander who complained of Boko Haram attack on troops

has removed a senior commander who appeared in a video complaining about poor equipping of troops after an attack by Boko Haram left dozens of soldiers dead.

The video became an instant hit on social media, sparking outrage and a relentless torrent of abuses against President Muhammadu Buhari and other senior military and government officials overseeing the war efforts. The military did not publicly comment on the video. The new commander of the army’s operation against Boko Haram is F. Yahaya, a major general, drafted from Headquarters 1 Division in Kaduna.

The Commander’s recklessness was reportedly responsible for the casualties on the side of our military. He refused to get the Airforce involved to first attack the insurgents in their hideouts before the ground troops advanced. He should’ve been retired.

You remove a commander for complaining of not have sophisticated weapon for fighting a serious and intense war. Instead of equipping him with more sophisticated weapon so that he can do better and deliver rather you remove him and believe the next commander will do better.

There is a lot of sabotage in the Nigerian army and the earlier they santize the army the quicky the insurgency will be defeated.but what a pity a lot of Nigerians life's in the army is been put at a lot of risk.and I can assure these country there is consequence of every action
