Nigeria vs Tunisia: Ahmed Lawan, Pinnick send powerful message to Super Eagles

Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has urged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to win the bronze medals at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt.

“The Government of Nigeria is proud of you and how far you have been able to go in this competition. You worked very hard and showed the desire to win, but this is football and these things happen,” Lawan was quoted by AllAfrica as saying ahead of Nigeria’s clash against Tunisia on Wednesday at the Al-Salam Stadium Cairo.

Meanwhile, the President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick, also urged the Super Eagles not to leave the AFCON in Egypt empty-handed.
