The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has said that the National Assembly is concerned about the mounting debts of the country resulting from persistent borrowings. Also, the Director-General of the Debt Management Office , Patience Oniha, said Nigeria’s public debt is N38.01trillion or $92.63billion as of Q3 2021.
Speaking with journalists on Wednesday in Abuja, Lawan, however, said the country needs to generate more revenue to reduce its borrowing. “But what do you do when you are not generating enough? We are concerned about our level of borrowing, and the best way to reduce it is to get funds from independent sources.Lawan also boasted that the National Assembly under his leadership had stabilised Nigeria’s economy and polity.
With all the increase in all the sectors and they're still complaining that they don't generate enough funds! Honestly speaking this Buhari government is a joke and junk.

IGR is taxation. Government profligacy obliterates the virtues of ordinary citizens paying taxes as a duty. It's a catch22. The lifestyle of public officials also does not help in the argument for ordinary citizens to line up without a gun to their heads to pay tax.
You are indirectly tryna tell us that APC ain’t looting enough. 2023 is loading…
