Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said Nigeria will host the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Regional Conference in 2022.

The minister is in Sal Island, Carpe Verde with other African culture and tourism ministers at the 64th Conference of UNWTO Commission for Africa and second UNWTO Global Tourism Investment Forum.

Founded on November 1, 1975, the UNWTO is the specialised global agency entrusted with the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism. Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria after meeting Pololikashvili, Mohammed hinted that the 2022 event would focus on tourism and the creative industry.

I guess UNWTO should be aware of Nigerian security climate before coming to Nigeria as this government are freeing terrorists in the name repentant and integrating them into the society, please they should be careful before coming to Nigeria
