Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state says Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians as no region, ethnic or religious groups will claim supreme

This is contained in a statement signed by Tambuwal’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Malam Muhammad Bello, and issued to newsmen on Saturday in Sokoto.

The Governor also affirmed that no one, group of people, no matter their religious affiliation or tribe could arrogate the leadership of Nigeria to themselves to the exclusion of other people of the country. Tambuwal also added “those who know history said Christianity and Islam belong to the same root,” stressing that “Jerusalem and Damascus were examples of places where the two religions are being practiced side by side.“If we go by the real teachings of the two religions, there wouldn’t be friction or any reason to fight one another, ” Tambuwal said.

He said that in pursuance of this objective of unity, all children of residents in the state including non indigenes, who attend public schools were exempted from paying fees.

Someone somewhere is turning the screw on this guys... Recently, all the hard-core self acclaimed first class citizens are now talking about equality. Hmm,somehow. It's either they're up to no good or someone is stepping on their 'nepotinistic' ideology

Rubbish! Nigeria belongs to the colonial powers who created Nigeria and have exploited it ever since with the help and support of colonial agents such as Tambuwal. That is the simple truth, the fundamental reality which Tambuwal must hide or obscure to protect his elite status.

The actions need to speak it out not voice all the time.

I am always astounished by the comments from the Northern Governors on Federalism and comments such as Tambuwal it reminds me of Aesop fable The Ant and the Grasshopper.Moral lessons about the virtues of hard work and planning for the future!!

In an ideal situation, True! But not what we have today.
