The dismissal of President Muhammadu Buhari’s suit against section 84(12) of the Electoral Act of 2022 dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Saturday Punch says Peoples Democratic Party in the south-west has asked for the positions of the senate president and secretary-general of the federation if the party wins the 2023 presidential election. The newspaper reports Peter Obi of Labour Party and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party are yet to agree on who will be the presidential candidate and running mate in their merger talks.
