Mikel Obi: How ex-Super Eagles players reacted to Chelsea legend’s retirement

Former Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje has reacted to the retirement of Chelsea legend, John Obi Mikel, from international football.

“There was a time Okocha was unplayable or untouchable, but when he left, the national team moved on, so I don’t think there is an irreplaceable player, we all played and retired at one time so, it’s all good.” “I want to congratulate and commend him [Mikel] for what he has done for the country,” Adepoju told Goal.

“My national career started in 2003 under 17 World Cup and I’m grateful for the national team for placing me on the world arena and giving me an opportunity to show my skill and have an incredible National and International career.
