chances of Kingsley Michael and Innocent Bonke making their debut for the Super Eagles in today’s Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier at the Teslim Balogun stadium are ‘very slim’ according to Gernot Rohr,The duo, who were handed their maiden invitations to the national team after impressive performances for their respective European teams, could, however, make their senior debut in next Tuesday’s away clash against Cape Verde.

“For the new players we only have two, Bonke from Malmo in Sweden and Michael from Bologna because others have already been with us,” Rohr said during the pre-match conference on Thursday.“The two players did very well in training, they are both defensive midfielders but for Friday’s game, their chances are very slim.

“Eight of our players will have to leave after the match against Liberia, so they will not be in Cape Verde, which means there will be another team for the second game.
