Meta and Africa No Filter, a narrative change organisation, have announced a partnership to launch a new fund in Nigeria and other African countries to boost the use of virtual reality in storytelling.

“‘Future Africa: Telling Stories, Building Worlds’ forms part of Meta’s focus on immersive technologies and Africa No Filter’s investments in innovative storytelling that shifts negative stereotypes about Africa.” According to the statement, applications open from Monday, and successful applicants will receive funding of up to $30,000.
