I comforted myself with the injuries that sidelined Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool’s superfast attackers. On match day, I was haunted by the statistics of the first leg, which pointed to Liverpool’s dominance but the 3-0 score line proclaimed Barsa’s superiority.
